Recently KIBF (Karachi International Book Fair) was organised at Expo Centre, Karachi. The book fair was started on 5th, Dec and end on 9th, Dec 2013. It was 9th annual event organised by KIBF and The Pakistan Publishers & Book Sellers Association (Organisation).

Hundred of thousands books were there, but the public participation was not equal. Across the country dozens of book sellers came and display there subjected books.

The books price range starts from 70/- Rupees goes up to few thousand. Cambridge System, Federal Board, Sindh Text Book Board and many others among there.

The event was awesome but not projected by Government of Sindh, Media (All Type Off).

As a nation reading habits is below average, but encouraged by very few. Plethora of unusual topics discuss every day on media and in civil society but not discuss good books and its related events.

Senior Citizens are crown jewel of event.  Art, Poetry, Literature,  Tib , Novels , Travelpedia’s , English to Urdu Dictionary and many others were  eye catching.

Security arrangements was good. On hall #2 food and beverages arrangement was also good but expensive.

If these events regularly organise in all over pakistan “The Love Affairs With Books” will be in fashion.
