Indian authorities have ensured complete security to Pakistan cricket team which is scheduled to play semi-final match of the World Cup against arch rival India in Mohali on Wednesday (March 30).Pakistan’s High Commissioner to India, Shahid Malik on Friday said he had met with the Indian HomeSecretary, who has assured fool-proof security for the match of mega event.The Ambassador told a news channel that Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Home Affairs and Indian Cricket Board are supervising the security arrangements. “We are in contact with them and the issue of security has been discussed,” he said and recalled previous visit of Pakistan’s cricket team when it was provided all the facilities.Ambassador Malik, to a question, said Pakistani citizens should come to India with their national flag to support the team as they did in the past.The presence of Pakistanis in the stadium would help boost morale of the players, he added.
Answering another question, he said the team has reached Mohali and Indian Cricket Board has made arrangements for their practice sessions.
The Ambassador said Pakistan’s team has been housed in the best hotel and the High Commission would be in constant contact with the team management for their facilitation.
